The Korea Export Insurance Corporation is to promote the Korean exports and other overseas business activities by providing export insurance and guarantee to manage the risks associated with overseas transactions.

KEIC - Korea Export Insurance Corporation - is an official Export Credit Agency(ECA) of Korea and was established in July 1992.

KEIC is a specialized non-profit corporation under the guardian authority of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, and enjoys stable operations with a full guarantee of the Korean government.
Total limits for underwriting and the amount of contributions to the Export Insurance Fund are decided in the National Assembly. KEIC's Management Committee and the Board of Executive Directors are responsible for operation.
KEIC manages 10 types of insurance policies, 3 guarantee programs and provides credit information on countries and overseas importers.

Since its establishment in 1992, KEIC has steadily expanded its business operations. In 2001, business underwritten by the Corporation was W37,316 billion, amounting to 17.6% support for Korea's total exports. The balance of Export Insurance Fund, the financial resource of KEIC, totaled W1,207.8 billion.
KEIC operates 11 domestic branches, 4 overseas representative offices, and 2 resident representatives with a total of 328 employees. top
