Coface - Compagnie Française d'Assurance pour le Commerce Exterieur - was founded june 1946, in France.

The Coface Group boasts more than fifty years' experience and an AA rating from international rating agency Fitch. The Coface Group provides insurance products and services for companies, with the aim of facilitating trade throughout the world. Thanks to Coface, companies have the option to outsource all or part of their trade receivables/payables management, while retaining full control over commercial decisions.

The Coface Group's two core businesses are

credit insurance (domestic and export)
credit management services (credit information, trade receivables ratings, management and recovery).

The Cofas Group's three other activities are

guarantee insurance,
Business-to-Business marketing (in partnership with Kompass)
trade receivables financing based on factoring or securitisation (offered in partnership with financial institutions).
In France, the Cofas Group also manages export credit insurance on behalf of the French State.
